Anna Day discovered a passion for baking during her time in London in 2005, while studying Performance Design in Central St Martins before returning to her home of Munich and turning her obsession into a worthy and passionate profession.
During a later wintery London visit, Anna stumbled across ‘The Merveilleux’ and fell for its wonders and magic. Fast forward to Spring 2016, she devotes her time to start-up a bespoke made to order Atelier, giving this unique delicacy a deserved home in Bavaria.
What is a Merveilleux?
This decadent dessert is a delicious and delicate melting meringue wrapped in whipped cream and sprinkled with chocolate – available in numerous flavours and sizes.
The English adjective "quaint" can be translated to “ ". Quaintrelles in turn are considered free, wild and elegant girls with a consciousness for glamour. We think our love for the marvellous Merveilleux fits in perfectly!
